Plus Size Tights

As plus sized woman there is one thing that I always have trouble finding and buying the right size in, and that’s plus size tights. Have you ever gone to the store and bought plus size tights only to get them home and find out that they are too small or too big? Even though everything on the back of the package made you think that you had bought the right size. I really hate the ones that go by weight and height. The reason is that my sister in law and I are just about the same height and weight but we are not the same size since we are built very different. Its irritating really. So would you like to know what I found out about buying plus size tights?

First things first. Most plus size tights are at a hosiery denier of forty or more, what that basically means is that they are thicker, heavier, and typically not see through like the ultra sheer like panty hose are. That means that they are tougher and are going to last you a bit longer. Aside from that most plus size tights are measured by way of your height and weight which we know is a bad way to find your size but they will also typically have your hip or waist measurement as well. To find your waist measurement you will want to make sure that your measuring your natural waist. That where if you lean over to one side that you will get a natural crease in your body at your natural waist and you should measure at that point. To get your hip measurement you will need to measure at the widest point of your hips and be sure too keep the tape measure strait and horizontal. Just knowing and using those measurements and well as your height and weight should help you find the perfect fit in plus size tights.

So buying plus size tights might not be the easiest thing that we ever do as plus size women but once I figured out the ins and outs of how to find the right size it has really helped me in not buying plus size tights too big or too small! I really hate it when they are too small when they shouldn’t be or when the crotch hangs down farther than it should! Hopefully after reading this you will never have that issue again and you can share this information with other plus sized women too. Just remember buying plus size tights doesn’t have to be that hard if you just figure out how they figure their sizes!
